Marketing plan.
Marketing the Fairfield Farmers Co-Op will be a grassroots movement that educates people about slow food as it advertises.
- We'll make flyers for distribution explaining who we are and what we're doing and showing that by supporting local farmers who are good and clean in a fair way they are actually helping themselves and their community.
- We'll work with kruu to do a special on one of Lonnie's shows talking about the slow food movement.
- We'll put ads in the Fairfield Ledger, the Iowa Source, and the weekly reader.
- We'll make hot T-shirts and bumper stickers that look cool promote the Fairfield Farmers Co-Op and encourage agro tourism.
- We could set up incentives for customers to refer their friends or for the restaurants we serve to advertise us to their customers.
- We should have a monthly or bi-monthly newsletter that tells food stories like, why the cucumbers where so good and what happened to the squash and what's being done to fix it.
- We can publish recipes so people can use our veggies in new fun delicious ways which we could eventually combine and turn into the “Fairfield Farmers Co-op Cookbook” or something like that.
- Our website would be a hub also.
- We could do video clips of the farmers and post them on youtube.com and the website.
