Renewable Energy Web Research ReportThe web blog that I reviewed is “Clean Break: Trends, Happenings and Innovations in the Clean Technology Market.” This blog is run by Tyler Hamilton, who reports on energy issues and business for the Toronto Star. While it is an independent project, the Star does give him the software for the website. He began developing this blog as a parallel to his newspaper work, that he might facilitate discussion about the topics he reports on in addition to communicating his own opinion. He posts on innovative green technology, new issues in established energy sources, and political opinions on renewable energy ranging from popular public interest pieces to less well known issues that he simply feels need to be highlighted. In accordance with his profession this blog, this blog is extremely informative about the topics under discussion. However, it differs from newspaper articles in that each post has a specific opinion bent to it, making it more accurate to portray this as an opportunity for Hamilton to write editorials on the information pertinent to his work. As such, most posts have a distinct critical edge to them that makes them provocative as well as informative. Source: http://tyler.blogware.com/
Lonnie's comments: Great comprehensive review. I like how you researched the source, something many people neglect. A couple of examples from the blog would have made it more complete. Also, you have a couple of minor typos. |
