Week 3
- Made a site visit to check out the installation of the Oreck House
- Perspective church site visits
- Perspective residential site visits
This week I went to the famous Bruce Oreck house. This house is the first to be platinum LEED certified. On this site visit I got to learn about the wiring that is done to connect the solar panels to the inverter and electric box. This week I also went around with the Pathfinder and looked for perspective residential areas to install solar and also to different churches as well. I talked to several different people and educated them about how great solar can be. With the churches I also discussed PPA’s where a third party purchases the solar panels and sells the energy generated to the establishment. Through this process I also helped create door hangers which had all the strengths of our company and solar on them.
