Natural Swimming Pool Presentation

A basic look at Surya Nagar:

There are two challenges facing our team. The first challenge will be regulating the flow and depth of water in the pool that is backed to the Pond I. Pond I receives runoff from the surrounding area, and the water level fluctuates approximately 2 feet during the year. The fluctuation is not a terrible problem, but protecting the pool from pond overflow will require higher walls at the pool/pond edge. Also, a hot tub would be nice to incorporate into the design, but we will need to be sensitive to the plants' needs.

Here's what the future beach-front property looks like now around Pond I:

Pond II is almost perfectly round. It is on higher ground than Pond I, and can be fed by rainwater catchment overflow. Right now the pond does not want to hold water. Soon it will be a pool reflecting the eye of the heavens.

We also want to incorporate plants that retain the natural feel of the pond as well as provide excellent biofiltration. Here is a list of plant species that we may wish to use.
