Bioneers

I had no true idea of how inspiring and awesome the Bioneers conference would be. Everyone needs to get to know this part of the family!

Every speaker on the plenary panel stirred, inspired, and excited me to my core. I have felt better ever since the conference...knowing they are on the job. Their love for all earthlings and Mother Gaia sparkled their eyes and caressed my heart. I love them too!!!

Kenny Ausubel and Nina Simons, the founders of Bioneers, are extremely eloquent and powerful speakers. Both of them feel the pulse of the times and translate it brilliantly into language that penetrates deeply. I am grateful for their immense insight, incredible passion, and valiant work. You've got to check them out....they are amazing! Both Kenny and Nina spoke throughout the conference and brought together this fabulous group of speakers. Kenny has also worked with Leonardo De Caprio on the new film 'The 11th Hour'

Jay Harman is a naturalist, entrepreneur, award-winning inventor who is a CEO of PAX Scientific. He shared some of their newest creations. He spoke of how, as a child, he would spend hours facinated and transfixed on the movements of water. Through this intimate relationship he has come to understand it more than the average bear. Jay, with the help of his coworkers, presented PAX's innovative fans which are much quieter, use less energy, provide a more controllable and greater flow, and reduce manufacturing costs. They also showed us the PAX mixer used to mix fluids which lowers energy usage, lowers capital cost, increases speeds and yields.

Eve Ensler is an award-winning playwright, performer and activist, and is the author of the big hit "The Vagina Monologues". She spoke about the return of the feminine and read her famous poem...- I Am Leaving My Fathers House

Union to the ALL

Then there's the beautiful Evon Peter - the chairman of Native Movement. He is an advocate of Indigenous Peoples' rights, youth activism and a balanced world. WOW! ...He recognized the challenges faced by the indigeneous, black, latin, and GLBT communities, pointing out their courage and strength. His 'truth' speaking shoots straight to the heart of the matters at hand, shedding light onto what needs to be healed.

Van Jones (what a freakin' funny man!) made some excellent points regarding social situations and our continued survival and sustainability. He talked of life in the inner city and how those who are having difficulty with basic survival needs are not going to be focused on the same issues as those who live more 'comfortably'. The possible extinction of the polar bear will not be as high on their list of priorities as their childs asthma due to living in such high pollution or the cultural prejudices they were born into. The inner city poor currently have less choice in choosing a green lifestyle. Van suggests creating 'green collar jobs' and educating and employing these individuals with jobs working for sustainability; connecting those who most need work with the work that most needs to be done.
